1. Brush surface to obtain a surface complying with the standard SSPC-SP2 (hand tool cleaning).

2. Apply two coats of anti-corrosion primer MC-4390 to obtain a minimal dry film thickness of 5 mils.

3. Topcoat with Glass-Guard polyurethane 2800 Series for a minimal dry film thickness of 3 mils. (also available in clear).

1. All galvanized metal must be treated with AGA-2000 metal conditioner. Let product stand for 15 minutes. Rinse with water and wipe surface with a lint free cloth.

2. Apply one coat of galvanized metal primer Prime-Guard 29355 to obtain a dry film thickness of 1.5 mils. Wait 30 minutes.

3. Topcoat with Glass-Guard polyurethane 2800 Series to obtain a dry film thickness of 3 mils.

Locomotives

Locomotives

1. Sandblast to obtain a surface profile of 1 to 1.5 mils complying with the standard SSPC-SP6 (commercial blast).

2. Apply one coat of EP-Guard 1500 Series for a dry film thickness of 3 mils.

3. Topcoat with Glass-Guard polyurethane 2800 Series for a dry film thickness of 3 mils.

4. Topcoat with Glass-Guard polyurethane 2800 Series to obtain a dry film thickness of 2 mils.

1. Sandblast to obtain a surface profile of 1 to 1.5 mils complying with the standard SSPC-SP6 (commercial blast).

2. Apply one coat of EP-Guard epoxy primer 1500 Series for a minimal dry film thickness of 3 mils.

3. Topcoat with Glass-Guard polyurethane 2800 Series for a minimal dry film thickness of 3 mils.

Aluminum Boats

Aluminium Boats

1. Condition new aluminum surfaces with AGA-2000 and let product stand for 15 minutes. Rinse with water and wipe with a lint free cloth.

2. Apply a light coat of vinyl wash primer Vinyl-Shield 7342 to obtain a maximum dry film thickness of 0.5 mils. Let dry for 15 minutes.

3. Apply one coat of EP-Guard epoxy primer 1500 Series to obtain a dry film thickness of 2 mils. Let dry 3 hours.

4. Topcoat with two coats of Glass-Guard polyurethane 2800 Series to obtain a dry film thickness of 2 to 3 mils.

1. Sandblast to obtain a surface profile of 1 to 1.5 mils complying with the standard SSPC-SP6 (commercial blast).

2. Apply with a natural bristle brush two generous coats of anti-corrosion primer MC-4390 in order to obtain a dry film thickness of 4 mils. Let dry for 5 hours.

3. Topcoat surface with one or two coats of Glass-Guard polyurethane 2800 Series to obtain a dry film thickness of 2 mils.

Chemical Plants

1. Sandblast to obtain a surface profile of 1 to 1.5 mils complying with the standard SSPC-SP6 (commercial blast).

2. Apply two coats of one component anti-corrosion primer MC-4390 to obtain a dry film thickness of 6 mils.

3. Topcoat with Glass-Guard polyurethane 2800 Series for a dry film thickness of 2 mils.

Fiberglass Boats

Fiberglass Boats

1. All fiberglass parts must be dull (paper grit #320 or finer).

2. Apply one coat of EP-Guard epoxy primer 1500 Series for a minimal dry film thickness of 3 mils.

3. Apply two coats of Glass-Guard polyurethane 2800 Series for a minimal dry film thickness of 2 mils.

1. Sandblast to obtain a surface profile of 1 to 1.5 mils complying with the standard SSPC-SP6 (commercial blast).

2. Apply two coats of anti-corrosion primer MC-4390 for a minimal dry film thickness of 5 mils (interior and exterior).

3. Topcoat the interior of the box only, with two coats of one component Amber Shield MC-4509.

4. Topcoat the exterior with two coats of Glass-Guard polyurethane 2800 Series to obtain a dry film thickness of 3 mils minimum.

1. Sandblast to obtain a surface profile of 1 to 1.5 mils complying with the standard SSPC-SP6 (commercial blast).

3. Topcoat with Glass-Guard polyurethane 2800 Series to obtain a dry film thickness of 3 mils.

2. Apply one coat of EP-Guard white epoxy primer 1553 to obtain a dry film thickness of 3 mils.

3. Topcoat with EP-Guard grey epoxy primer 1552 to obtain a dry film thickness of 3 mils.

1. Sandblast to obtain a surface profile of 1 to 1.5 mils complying with the standard SSPC-SP6 (commercial blast).

2. Apply one coat of EP-Guard epoxy primer 1500 Series for a minimal dry film thickness of 2 mils.

3. Topcoat with Glass-Guard polyurethane 2800 Series for a minimal dry film thickness of 3 mils.

4. For an additional super protection, apply one coat of clear one component acid resistant polyurethane MC-4250. The procedure for adequate application of the MC-4250 : 1- Apply a very thin mist and let set for 30 minutes. 2- Then apply one medium wet coat.

1. Surface to be painted must be free of any contaminants such as grease, oil, wax and poorly adhered paint. If the floor is already painted, we recommend a blastrack in order to promote the best adhesion and therefore ensure excellent performance of Glass Shield products.

2. Apply with a brush or roller two generous coats of two component EP-Guard 1500 Series allowing at least 8 hours between each coat (the first coat must be diluted 25% with thinner 162-11 and the second coat must be diluted 10%).

3. For an additional super protection, topcoat with one component clear polyurethane MC-4250. The procedure for adequate application of the MC-4250 : 1- Apply a very thin mist and let it set for 30 minutes. 2- Then apply one medium wet coat.

1. Brush with a steel brush or an electrical device to obtain a surface complying with the standard SSPC-SP2 (hand tool cleaning).

2. Treat surface with GS-202 rust converter and let product stand for 24 hours. Wipe or brush residues.

3. Apply with a natural bristle brush two generous coats of anti-corrosion primer MC-4390 in order to obtain a dry film thickness of 4 to 6 mils. Let dry for 5 hours.

4. Topcoat with Glass-Guard polyurethane 2800 Series to obtain a dry film thickness of 3 mils.

Utility Trucks

1. Sandblast to obtain a surface profile of 1 to 1.5 mils complying with the standard SSPC-SP6 (commercial blast).
